Remediation Supervisors

Candidates should be experienced in earthworks and possess the necessary skills to proficiently manage site enabling projects in the field, whilst ensuring strict adherence to SHEQ procedures & DXI’s core values. You will collaborate with a well-structured and “hands-on” team that values its members highly and has an ethos of promoting from within.

Remediation Engineers

Ideally, candidates should have a degree in civil engineering or environmental science disciplines and be proficient in earthworks and remediation techniques. They should also possess knowledge of both chemical and geotechnical testing, as well as volumetric modelling Candidates with backgrounds in consultancy or contracting will gain valuable experience and the opportunity to undergo further training. For those with the ambition and capability, this role may well lead toward senior management positions.

Graduates, Apprentices & Trainees

In consultation with local training providers, universities and colleges, at DXI we have devised a training programme for apprentices, trainees, graduates and those eligible for kick-start opportunities.  The scheme is aimed at those with a strong desire and commitment to enter the construction industry at grass roots level and gradually gain the skills and attributes necessary to achieve their aspirations. We are continually on the lookout for young people who wish to become civil engineering operatives, plant operators, site engineers and various other disciplines within the construction industry.

Junior & Assistant Quantity Surveyors

While a few years of post-graduate experience are preferred, we also welcome applicants who are currently in training and completing their studies in this field. Given that interaction across disciplines is paramount at DXI, the ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial and business acumen and be eager to engage in estimating and MI financial reporting. For those seeking to establish a career in quantity surveying, we offer both a graduate & apprenticeship training scheme.

Groundworks & Civil Engineering Supervisors (all levels)

Whether you are just settling into an assistant supervisor / ganger / works manager or project manager role, we are keen to hear from individuals who have a strong desire to progress their career within a dynamic and collaborative business. We value qualities such as keen attention to detail and leadership skills that inspire excellence, while meeting tight targets and upholding our “right first time” commitment to quality. As always, we wish to promote talent from within and the prospect of progressing into a senior management role is a real possibility.

Project Managers

Primarily working in the North West and North Wales, with occasional work beyond. Must be able to manage construction sites for profitable, timely, and non-adversarial project delivery. Must lead the project team, ensure company procedures are followed, liaise with clients to ensure their satisfaction, and ensure SHEQ compliance. Responsibilities include setting goals, maintaining high safety and quality standards, regular meetings, compliance with project timelines and budgets, subcontractor selection, and information dissemination. Must be able to support tender submissions, manage risks, and resolve issues collaboratively. Also need to ensure safety and environmental compliance and be able to mentor and develop teams, including newcomers to the industry.

Plant and Equipment Co-ordinator

The ideal candidate will hold a full driving license and have experience and knowledge of plant.

Roles and duties include monitoring tracking systems and maintaining records of plant, equipment and vehicle locations. They will organise and oversee MOTs, services and repairs for a diverse range of plant, equipment, small tools, and vehicles. They will conduct monthly site plant checks and audits. They will ensure plant, equipment and vehicles are not dispatched onto sites unless a safety check has been conducted and confirmed they are in good working order.

This role will require reporting directly to directors. Candidates must appreciate DXI’s objectives and impress upon site personnel the importance of its implications.

Trainee Setting Out Engineer

We are currently seeking a full-time trainee setting out engineer to oversee projects involving roads, sewers and groundworks, primarily across the North West of England. The chosen candidate will join a dynamic and supportive engineering department. This is a trainee position, with the ideal candidate integrating day-release at college to further their knowledge and skills.
