Installation of a 5200m3 storm water attenuation tank using a water retention harvesting system.
The construction of a 5200m3 storm water retention harvesting system beneath the car park of a new office complex and business centre.
Due to restraints posed by the existing site layout and development specifications a bespoke rainwater harvesting system was designed, which gathered rainfall from roofs and hardstandings and collected it in large buried vessels. The stored rainwater was then used to provide water for flushing toilets and heating systems in the newly constructed offices as well as for general maintenance and upkeep of the soft landscaped areas.
The office complex and business centre was designed to the latest BREEAM standards for sustainable buildings and encompassed the latest CEEQUAL guidance for public realm sustainability.
DXI were chosen to install the system having satisfied the exacting requirements of the clients expectations for a civil engineering contractor who could demonstrate the attributes of openness, honest and fairness.Back
